Not sure about my current vet.

I took Robin in because it seems he's having mouth or ear troubles again. The doc gave him a once over, and said there's nothing wrong. I then asked him to check his teeth,is the gingivitis gone?

He barely parted his lips, and said yes.

I think I need a new vet. A GOOD, AFFORDABLE vet...

I do think you may need to look for a new vet. I realize vets are busy, but they need to take the time to actually examine your cat and answer any reasonable questions you have. That is, after all, what we're paying them for. I wouldn't be satisfied with that "exam" either.

I agree, didn't like like much of a thorough exam to me. Do you have some friends that can recommend one?

I checked with the shelter where I volunteer. They gave rave reviews on their vet! He treats all the shelter cats, and he's apparently a very decent guy!

I took Robin in today. This time, the doc was very thorough. His gums flared up again and he's on antibiotics. His ears are good! He got a shot today, and he starts the liquid tomorrow. He's got his name on the welcome sign in the waiting room!
