Warts?

Hello all!

My boy, Snow Kitty, seems to have developed some kind of warts all over his body in the past six months or so. They are just small bumps...almost look like extra nipples...and I can feel them when I pet him. I wouldn't say they cover his body, but he has a few on his head, on his back, and on his sides. At least those are the ones I've noticed. Any ideas on why or what this could be? I've attached two pics. One where you can see my fingers to judge the size, and one closeup.

I haven't seen any bumps that are pink like that. My girl gets sebaceous cysts frequently, but they're grayish rather than pink.

Does it seem like he's getting more and more of them? I'd probably take him in to the vet to be safe. I hope it's nothing serious!

Thanks! I can't really tell if he's getting more and more, but he does have quite a few. They don't seem to bother him and they don't grow, so...I don't know.

I am taking him to the vet next Saturday. I'm also going to have them get a nasty mat off his back end while we're there!

A visit to the vet is called for here. Just wondering if it is an allergic reaction to something.....has he had any food changes in last month or so, either from type of food (canned or kibble) or brands? Any change in cleaning products?

Hi! Thank you for the suggestions! We went to the vet this morning, and she said it was normal for older cats to develop warts like this. She said there was nothing to be concerned about unless he got an unusually large one that bothered him.

I'm glad to hear that all is ok with Snow Kitty! Interesting - now I'm going to double-check some of the bumps on my kitty that I assumed were more sebaceous cysts. Maybe they're warts too.

Thanks for the update, and the info!
