Default My cat wants to drink my ice tea

Is it okay for a cat to drink ice tea? I was just asking because I know that caffine is not good for animals. Can anyone tell me if it is okay to give my cat some ice tea to drink because he is real determine to get to my glass of tea.

Thank you!

I wouldn't give my cat iced tea. Maybe he just wants something cold. The water in his dish could get warm very fast in this kind of weather.

To entice my cats to drink their water, I put two ice cubes in it. They love the really cold water.
I would say that ice tea isn't something the cat should drink.... I would also worry that they would be too hyper!!!

I also put a couple of ice cubes in their water bowl. Who wants water at room temperature? Also, I can't tolerate caffeine. If it makes my heart race and my hands shake, how much more harm could it do to a cat? I weigh 130 lbs; cats weigh 1/10 that or less. Sometimes we can't give our spoiled kitties everything they want.

Thank you for your reply's. I had thought so myself. I know I would not give them caffine either for I know that'll kill them because chocolate kills animals.

I was just curious to see what you all had to say about it, by the way I do drink caffine free tea. But I will do the ice thing, it could be that he wants something cool to drink.

Boy, I wish I could read his mind sometimes, it would make it a lot easier

Thanks again for your suggestions.
