Default Found a food, I think I would eat this lol...

So I don't think I've seen anyone mention this food before, but I found it in the store where I buy Wellness now, this great holistic pet supplies store which I now LOVE!

It's called Merrick. It threw me off at first because the lable has "with" on it, but the first 9 ingredients are all REAL foods...the only thing i guess i'm wondering is are there too many veggies and not enough meat? The ingredients seem pretty good to me, but i'm still pretty new at this!

This one is called "Turducken" (they all have pretty interesting names) for turkey duck and chicken.

Ingredients:
Turkey, Chicken, Chicken Broth, Duck, Fresh Sweet Potatoes, Fresh Carrots, Fresh Snow Peas, Fresh Golden Delicious Apples, Potato Starch-Modified, Dried Cranberry, Olive Oil, Flax Seed Oil (For Omega -3), Cassia Gum, Carrageenan, Potassium Chloride, Tricalcium Phosphate, Choline Chloride, Salt, Taurine, Mixed Tocopherols, Vitamin E Supplement, Yucca Schidigera Extract, Zinc Amino Acid Complex, Iron Amino Acid Complex, Manganese Amino Acid Complex, Vitamin B12 Supplement, Copper Amino Acid Complex,d-Calcium Pantothenate, Vitamin A Acetate, Niacin, Lecithin, Vitamin D3 Supplement, Riboflavin Supplement, Folic Acid, Ethylenediamine Dihydriodide, Cobalt Glucoheptanate, Pyridoxine Hydrochloride, Biotin, Thiamine Mononitrate, Sodium Selenite.

This one is called "Cowboy Cookout"

Ingredients:
Beef, Beef Broth, Beef Liver, Fresh Sweet Potato, Fresh Carrots, Fresh Snow Peas, Fresh Whole Granny Smith Apples, Potato Starch-modified, Dried Egg, Dried Blueberry, Dried Cranberry, Olive Oil, Flax Seed Oil (For Omega -3), Cassia Gum, Carrageenan, Potassium Chloride, Tricalcium Phosphate, Choline Chloride, Natural Carmel color, Salt, Taurine, Mixed Tocopherols, Vitamin E Supplement, Yucca Schidigera Extract, Zinc Amino Acid Complex, Iron Amino Acid Complex, Manganese Amino Acid Complex, Vitamin B12 Supplement, Copper Amino Acid Complex, d-Calcium Pantothenate, Vitamin A Acetate, Niacin, Lecithin, Vitamin D3 Supplement, Riboflavin Supplement, Folic Acid, Ethylenediamine Dihydriodide, Cobalt Glucoheptanate, Pyridoxine Hydrochloride, Biotin, Thiamine Mononitrate, Sodium Selenite.

Merrick is a VERY good food. It's pricey, but if you can afford it, by all means buy it.

Dr. Jean has referenced it on the forum, I remember looking it up after her mentioning it.

I get Merrick occasionally, but my cats don't like it very much. I personally find it very smelly and kind of runny. It's not a big winner in our house.

runny? yuck. It's supposed to be really good though. Probably why they don't like it, the healthy stuff never tastes as good as the junk foods.

Ya I bought a can, and it seems more like stew than solid cat food, i think that's what was meant by "runny" it actually smelled pretty good to me Nya LOVED it, so I think it will be nice to use as a special meal every now and then
