has anyone hear heard of PetGuard food? It looks pretty good to me, but I don't know much about cat nutrition yet so I'm not sure. Thanks!
Ingredients (wet food): Mackerel, chicken, chicken broth, chicken liver, ocean fish, rice flour, dried yeast, guar gum, potassium chloride, dried kelp, sunfower oil...and then a list of vitamins. |

I've never fed Pet Guard but I think its considered a good choice. Fish isn't a bad thing in food, just not the kind of thing you'd want to feed on a regular basis. I have like 6 fish/seafood flavors that my cat gets but in rotation with the other foods it comes out to 1-2 times a month.

I love Petguard, and my cats like it as well as anything else. The couple who owns the company are very sweet and spiritual and are really trying to do a good job.
The point about fish is correct; occasional fish flavors okay, but not on a regular basis. Cheers, Dr. Jean |

I've tried the Rabbit & Rice Petguard and both of my cats wouldnt eat it. When i looked at the can it says 6% crude protein when every other brand is usually 9-10% so i'm not sure if that contributes to my cat's distaste for it or not. (bland taste?)
