Yay! Happy Birthday sweet Sophie! My Kiki made it 5 days before her 22nd Birthday. I lost her to renal failure.
best wishes to many years to come. Keep on loving her like you do, it keeps them going!

I just read thru your whole thread on Sophie. Tears came to my eyes. I just wanted to say what a good Mom you are to her. I know she feels your love and concern. Im thrilled she made it to her 20th birthday.

Thank you so much, both of you. Lettucelady what a GREAT picture! That almost could have been a picture of my kitty family a few years ago, the calico like Sophie, your blue point himmie looks just like my two...your other kitty is beautiful as well. You had a baby got to 22, wow that is really great!

Thank you Mitts and Tess...I am happy too she made it to her 20th. Sadly, she had another bad episode night before last and at 2 am we had to drive to an emergency clinic and I had to say goodbye to her. It was peaceful, but she had a bad couple of hours before. They were really wonderful there, had a little bed and a blanket with a hot water bottle in it all ready for her, and the vet and the tech were awesome. Gave me time with her, etc. I was a total wreck, I miss her SO much, so does my little dog Hallie. It is the first time in 20 years I haven't had a kitty, I still expect to see her laying over the floor register, and it was sure hard to not be fixing her breakfast. But I'm thankful she is not suffering and that I could be with her and it was peaceful. She was a wonderful little girl and I miss her a lot, I feel very lucky to have been able to share part of her life with her. I have yet to take up her beds and toys and bowls, etc.

Thanks for the support here, you guys are really a great bunch.
