Default kidney failure relaited probles

hi my cat , who will be 20 in august, has a number of symptons that i have related to kidney failer, also the vet said that his kidneys arent as health as they once were , but my problem is with his food, he was on whiskers cans, but swiched to 'hills health plan' to help out with his kidneys, but the stuff looked revolting and i think my cat thought so to and didnt eat any, so i put him back on whiskers for the time being, but recently hes started eating less that he was a couple of weeks ago, i know fussy eating habbits is a sympon of kidney failue, but what can i do to get him eating, i tried swithing to a differt brand, which he likes at first then goes off. what can i do so he'll eat his food, please help

Well with Kidney problems, I suggest giving him the food that the vet prescribed, talk to your vet about the fact that he is not eating. It is a delicate sitution and your vet should know.

I'm very sorry to hear about your kitty. I have a cat that has crf (chronic renal failure). There are several kidney diets available. My cat despises the Science diet KD dry but loves the canned food. For dry I give him Purina NF. Come on over to the CRF support groups for more ideas on how to maintain your kitty: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Feline-CRF-Support/
