I feed a wide variety which basically are the ones that all three of my cats decided they ALL would eat. I finally got him to eat some low quality whiskas choice cuts. Once he is introduced into the household I will try and get him to switch over to the food my others eat.....I'm crossing my fingers hoping!

My cats love dry food and have never accepted wet food. My kitten will eat anything, but my older one won't. I've had other cats eat dry only and I've never had any problems. Just make sure that water is available at all times and provide a good quality dry food.

Shelly, you can only do so much. Sounds like this guy is really lucky to have found you.

I think it's great that you got him to eat that wet food, even if it isn't the best quality. At least it will get him used to eating wet food overall and then hopefully it will make it easier to transition him onto something a little more healthy.

You're doing great. Let us know what the vet says about the little guy.

Thanks He is a real sweet heart. I can't seem to figure out why someone would leave him at the shelter!! He ate more of the whiskas today...so that is good. I bought some more of that and some nutro natural pouches, which hopefully he will eat! I talked to the vet today. They actually called to see how he was doing, which I thought was very nice. I was a little worried because he seemed more congested than before he went to the vet. They said as long as he is eating and taking his medication not to worry and to give it some time. He goes back on Saturday to have his stool rechecked for worms, a recheck on the URI and hopefully his last vaccines.
