Default Tummy Problems

Hi. I have a female kitten around 4 months old and I think she is having stomach pains. She meows desperately if her stomach is pushed on in any way (picking her up for example) and refuses to walk unless it is to hide under my bed. This is abnormal for her because she is usually so sociable. I've noticed she has been drinking a lot and her stool is SO pungent. It smells so bad, I cant even stay in the room. She also goes to the bathroom a lot. I noticed one of her toys was a bit shredded so I dont know if she has ingested bits of it. We gave her half a can of Frisky brand canned food tonight instead of the usual Fancy Feast and she only picked at it, maybe it didnt settle well with her stomach. The smelly stool and heavy drinking have been going on for a little bit, but her refusal to move, her hiding and her stomach pains have occured recently. Could this be gas or is it possible she's feeling sick from just that little bit of shreds from her toy? I figure that if she isnt better by tomorrow night, we will schedule a visit with the vet, thought I might be a bit paranoid because my last cat died at the age of two because of some virus and we didnt catch on soon enough to the symptoms. What do you all think? Thanks for your help, I really appreciate it.

I would schedule a vet appointment, for sure! Has she been treated for worms? Are there any other cats in the household? Do you use any type of flea treatment? The hard belly, pain, and smelly stool would lead me to think she has worms. At any rate, you should have her checked out at a vet.

this could be worms, or it could be something as simple as gas from the food. have you had her checked for worms before? I think that's what you should do first. so, ditto to what jessamica8 advised.
