Default Concerned Cat Owner

Hello Everyone,
I came Home last night and found my cat in her normal beauty sleep when i went to pet her however, i found that when i made contact with the tailbone area she meowed and it did not sound good. You can tell that she is in pain, and now she is drinking a lot of water something that i've never really see her do. Anysuggestions of what this possibly could be, i also noticed that the sensitive area is swollen. Your suggestions would be appreciated

OK, I posted a reply to your query about this in another section, but here your description of it sounds worse. I would definitely see the vet ASAP. there shouldn't be any noise upon movement. I hope nothing's broken.

A few questions?
How old is this cat? Is it a female? And, if so..has it been spayed?

I only ask because my kitten is in heat and when you touch her tailbone area she makes very strange sounds..perhaps she's in heat and this sound is what your hearing. Her "sensitive area"- I'm not sure about swelling, but to me it does seem more noticeable, if that makes any sense. She also seems to drink more.

If this is not a possibility, I'd take her in to see the vet. If this could be your problem, better make an appt. to get her spayed!

Good luck.

Well that throws that idea out. Better have her checked out by your vet.
I hope she's feeling better soon.
