Hi, I appreciate any help at all. My cat keeps biting and licking the end of his tail, he's licked all the fur off and now it's all red and it really bothers him, it constantly twitches and thats when he bites it. I did take him to vet, they said they dont know whats wrong with him, they took skin samples and there are no fleas or mites or parasites. Poor Jaxi has to wear a collar now for 3 days which he is NOT adapting too, he wont eat or drink anything (can someone help with this too?) and he is on antibiotics and medication for itching and cream for his tail. I dont see any improvement after 3 days. I am thinking about going for a 2nd opinion to another vet, money doesnt matter cos he's my baby and I love him but I dont want to see him like this

Are you removing the collar to allow him to eat and drink? If not, you really should. I'd say give him some free time away from the collar every day, but make sure you keep an eye on him. If he goes straight for the tail, put the collar back on.
You have need to hand feed him for a little while. Maybe even give him a syringe full of water by hand every so often so he doesn't get dehydrated. I really can't help much with the tail issue, but I hope whatever it is clears up soon!

Hi, yes I take the collar off so he can eat and drink but he goes straight for the tail again so I have to put it back on. I will try the syring thing but it really freaks him out, I have a scaredy cat, he is jumpy at the best of times. But I will try. thanks for the advice!
