Well, she's pretty lethargic and makes these pitiful little sounds instead of meows. They almost sound like a muffled-sheep-like sounding "Owwwww". Of course, I'm sure I could be crazy!
She seems really, really thin now. She was always petite, they even commented on it in the vets office, but now she has a definate "cave" effect on her sides. I can't imagine that what they removed from in there could make that much of an effect. Though I guess that combined with almost 2 days of no food and little water may have something to do with it. She also may be holding herself differently in pain or something, but even my 7 year old son said, why does she have those dents on her sides... Other than that, she ate well this morning. I had to hold the food up for her so she could eat around that lamp shade. I'm keeping an eye on her, but she seems like she's doing as expected. I'm very happy with her progress and that she made it through the anesthesia, that was our biggest fear. |

most likely it's the fasting. when Rocket was having his loose stools, I put him on a 24-hr. fast, which is what the articles recommended, and I thought he looked a little slimmer at the end of it. maybe cats loose weight fast when they're not eating.
