This is my first time posting and I am just curious if anyone has had a cat with a luxated elbow joint? This happened to my kitten a couple of days ago and I wanted some feedback from others as to how their pet dealt with the discomfort. Emily (my kitty) went to the emergency vet over the weekend and then to my regular vet on Monday morning. My vet was able to pop the joint back into place and he has put a giant cast on for two weeks. He is hoping this will fix the problem and that Emily will not require surgery. I feel so sorry for her as she drags this giant cast along. Has anyone had any experiences with a cat with a luxated elbow joint?

OUCH! Poor kitty. I don't have much to offer in the way of advice, but just wanted to wish you good luck. Is the dressing going to be changed? 2 weeks is a long time for one dressing to be on a cats leg, this may cause sores and swelling. Do keep us updated on her progress.
