Strange Insides....
Today we speyed a cat who only had one uterine horn, though she had two ovaries. The second ovary was attached to a mound of fat with a blood vessel going into it, but no uterus. Its a good job we went looking for the second ovary! Even stranger, on the same side (the left) there was no kidney either! So this cat is living with one kidney and a very strange reproductive tract. It is unknown whether she would have been able to concieve and reproduce normally, obviously, though she has previously had one season before being speyed. She has been normal and healthy since her owners got her as a kitten.
Anyone heard of anything else like this before?
