I really need help on this one.
I put out some wet catfood on monday. Kelly jumped up on the counter to get at it first. She grabbed some, let out a yelp, spit out the food & hid for most of the day. I'm certain she's got a bad tooth. The problem is how I'm going to get her to the vet. Firstly, she's not a "pick-me-up" cat. When I do pick her up she won't stay at all. She won't go in the carrier either (none of my cats will). She's only been to the vet once, when she got neutered. She was just a baby then and it took 3 of us to force her into the carrier & lock the door. She went byserk in there & bloodied her mouth biting on the metal bars of the door. It was an extremely traumatic experience for her and me. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

First, are there any mobile vets in your area? Most large cities now have such. Where are you located?
Second, your cats all need periodic vet attention. You must find a way to provide this. Since she bites the metal bars of a typical carrier, might I suggest a soft carrier-at least she shouldn't be able to hurt herself in it. |

I'm certain there aren't any mobile vets in my town.
I'm "out the door" going to PetsMart right now to check out the soft carriers. Thanks for the suggestion!
