Ear cleaning wipes?

So I bought these ear cleaning wipes, because Nya has such problems with her ears, and I figured now that the infection is cleared up, I should keep the wax down, because she produces a LOT of earwax. My problem being, they smell really alcoholey.

They're "Petkin Kitty Ear Wipes" and the ingredients are: Pure Witch Hazel, Aloe Vera Gel, Chlorhexidine, Gluconate, Botanical Extracts. They look like baby wipes. I just want to know if this sounds okay to you guys?

I'd say the ingredients look fine. The witch hazel may make them sting, though. I bought some of the cotton swabs on sticks from a pharmacy because that's what the vet used.

The best ear cleaner is another cat.

I'm afraid to use qtip type things on her because she's so bad about her ears being swabbed, I'm afraid of slipping and doing damage to her. I figured wipes would be easier as I have more control over my fingertip... It says these are supposed to relieve itching, which she seems to have a big problem with.

I think they ought to work OK for you, so long as she tolerates the witch hazel.
