Fingers crossed for little Buddy. I'm sure he'll be fine.

Well, we're back from the vet. He's got a drain in the one ear, and the other was cleaned out and stitched back up. He's got an e-collar on which he of course hates. I'm hoping he gets used to it, as it'll be on him for 2 weeks! He goes back in on monday to have the drain removed from the one ear.

He's unhappy, but I know it's for the best

Agggh. That mental pic made my stomach clench. Glad everything went well, and Get Well Soon, Buddy!

I'm very interested to know, were there any theories on the cause?

The vet has no idea what the cause might be, and we've gone over quite a few things, but I did some reading of my own and I have a few things I'd like to ask her about. He's got some other symptoms (really minor things) that worry me, and make me think something deeper is going on. But I could just be paranoid.

I'll let you know for sure if we figure out what's wrong...we might be able to make some connections. How is Ginza now anyway?

Thank you very much for the update, and for asking about Ginza! He's almost fully recovered now. Continued best wishes for Buddy's continuing recovery.
