What brands of food should I be investing into for my cats. I see that many think that chicken soup is a good brand and nurto, any other?

My cats don't have any problem being fed good food after being fed bad food.

Cats may simply not like the taste of alfalfa sprouts and garlic (I know I don't)

Mine did. It made them stinky and they didn't like it as much. Nutro was a good compromise.

pjsalls, some great options are Innova, Wellness, California Natural, Felidae, Natural Balance, Dr Wysong, Chicken Soup, Nutro, and the list goes on and on. I recommend looking at this very forum over the past few pages. You'll find LOTS of great suggestions and opinions.

Mine either. They were raised on a so-so dry food, and actually like the Innova better! I mixed the two foods so they could switch gradually, but they picked all the Innova pieces out and left their old food. I also had them on Fancy Feast... it was a bit more difficult to find a better wet food that they both like, especially Jazz, but they seem to be doing okay on Chicken Soup. I have a few more brands of wet to test out, after she turned her nose up at Wellness and Merricks. Ariel, of course, is a little goat and will eat whatever you put in front of her, whether it is traditionally edible or not!!

I guess this just goes to show that you can't make sweeping assumptions when it comes to cats.

You two are very lucky. There are several people on this board that can vouch for having trouble getting their cats unhooked off of poor quality foods. Its a common problem.
