I see that most of you feed dry, crunchy treats.

What do you think about giving "junk food" grocery store kibble as treats? Since it is junk food it doesn't have to be as nutritious as their regular food, right?

It would be very interesting to use grocery store foods as junk food since we all think it is junk food.

My cats seem to like Meow Mix Sea Food Medley more than every single treat I ever gave them. They hate anything with glycerin in it.

I don't buy/use any commercial treats until they are given to me as a free sample or gift. I use raw meat as my boys treats.

What would lead you to believe that?

I used to buy dehydrated chicken and beef livers. Sabby's wild over them. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find them for several months and he doesn't like the dried shrimp treats I can find. So he doesn't get any treats now (except the occasional bit of green olive).

I give them moist treats... I think the brand is Minouche. It's crap, but they only get one or two a day, and they absolutely won't touch the crunchy treats. The shrimp flavour is their favourite.

It seems to be fitting to use junk food exactly as it is--junk food. It would be something with no nutritional value and only for the taste, like fish-flavored biscuits.

If its junk, why give it to them? Why not give them a treat they like that isnt junk? There are plenty of solid foods out there that could work well as treats, so I see NO reason to feed them junk food.

For those who want it, I share a medium well cooked steak with them. My Kelly just loves thin slices of raw steak too.
