Default Back Claw Question

Just wondering if anyone ever trims their cats' back claws? I've only ever trimmed the front eight claws, as I have an indoor kitty.

Any input would be helpful. Thanks!

I trim them when needed. But it's no big deal as cats do keep them somewhat trimmed themselves by chewing on them. Of course, their idea of "trimmed" may be different than mine, that's why I even bother to do them.

yes I trim the back claws but not as often as the front. Mostly 'cause one of them starts to click (hardwood floors) and also I figure it's more comfortable for them when they play rat catcher ( you know, holding on with front paws and kicking with the back- usually in their brothers face!)

Yup, I trim them ALL! The back ones don't need it as often as the front ones, but I check them all out pretty often to see if it's time for a trim.

Yep, I trim them every 2-3 weeks.

My boys are lazy now that I do them for them and just wait for me to do them.

But do yours go outside, emma_pen? That makes a big difference, right?

I trim all of them, whenever they need it. usually about every 2-3 weeks.

The back ones do seem to need it less than the front. Tierney will "trim" his own if he feels the need. Teagan just waits for me!
