A URI can be caused by either a virus or a bacteria, or both at the same time. So a URI can be anywhere from mild to severe and produce clear or colored fluids depending on the cause and the severity. The steam is a good home remedy for symptom relief

I just don't see why they gave her 2 identical shots within 31 days. Seems excessive on a stressed out cat, doesn't it?
You may be right, but that's the normal protocol here in the states.

Just wanted to let you know that Tashi is much improved. I think partly due to the fact that she has decided on about DAY 10 of being with us that our laps really *are* a good place to hang out and the extra body heat must have felt good too because now that she's finally the lap kitty I was dreaming of, she doesn't want to get off, LOL!

She's eating, drinking, not sneezing anymore and doing her #1 and #2 in her cat box, so I'd say she's come thru her little cold with flying colors and really bonded with us over it as well it seems like she knew when we got her at the shelter that she just reacted like WE'RE THE ONES! And then during her cold's worst couple of days last weekend, she just seemed to trust us in everything.

Of course all 3 of us had to go into the steamy bathroom together because we're a family and we just do everything important together, hehe! Just wanted to let you know how it went and not leave it all open ended. Thanks for the support and the tremendous amount of help and info in the very important and scary HEALTH forum especially!

*hugs to all*
