Default Need Advice on what to do!

I have a stray that I have been taking care of, she won't let anyone touch her or anything, but Love her just as well! Today I noticed something hanging out of her mouth, so I took a closer look and it looks like there is a fish hook stuck in her mouth! How it got there, no idea! If I can catch her, any suggestions on how to remove it? Do to finances at the moment I can't take her to a vet. Please help!

A fish hook can be removed by cutting the barb off with a wire cutter and then backing it out. HOWEVER, most likely it's infected, and this cat needs to be seen by a vet if it's to have proper care. The cat is certainly in pain, so don't try to pick it up with your hands. Do you have a humane association you can contact for assistance?

Sierrakitty posted in another forum, I assume by mistake, a posting that apparently didn't come out the way it was planned. The title of the post was "Foreget about the $ , gonna catch her & take to the vet!", and had the content of "np". My guess is that it was decided to take the kitty to the vet.

I applaud the decision.

I'll remove the post made in error for her.
