Default Beef Jerky

Is unflavored home made beef jerky ok for cats as an occasional treat. i like mine plain and i make it myself and like to share a few nibbles with sophie.

MMMM, can I ask...how do you make your homemade beef jerky? I'd love to make some for myself and Pixie, Kitty and Caspy!

Well I make a mix

Plain which is just spiced slightly and dehydrated 4 hours on a typical dehydrator

and i make one which has worshtechire (sp?) sauce, soy sauce, ketchup, onion powder, garlic powder.

I put it in a bag and stick it in the fridge for 5-6 squishing it occassionally

It would be best for kitty if you just made some plain & unflavoured for her - bear in mind that any member of the onion family (inc garlic) is toxic in more than a tiny amount to cats.
