Heat question?

Do cats show any sighn's when heat is emminent? do they just go into it all the sudden? thanks.

I'm sure all cats are different but Willow definitely seems to build up to it (oh, and when she gets going with the vocals you really know all about it!)

For a few days prior to this though she is usually super affectionate with me and the furniture - she rubs herself up against everything, comes for more cuddles and goes for a wee more than usual.
