Default Mom with pyo...........

Hello list,

I have a pregnant momma who is due any day and has pyo. I was wondering if anyone had ideas on what to do til the kittens are born? I will start her on Baytril after kittens arrive but was wondering if clavamox would be strong enough to have her on until then? She's acting normal and eating normal, no fever, just pus discharge so I know her cervix is already open and her milk has been in for 4 days now, babies are all still moving also. Any suggestions.........

Has she been to a vet? Pyometra can be fatal very quickly - she must be sorted ASAP. If this were my cat, I would want her at the vets now. Pus in the uterus WITH her kittens is NOT a good sign. In my opinion, she needs a caesarian and to be speyed at the same time.

She needs to have surgery immediately as far as I know or she could die.
