Default Very worried about my baby..

Hi everyone, it's 3am where I am and I'm very worried about my cat. He's a 5 year old indoor cat in normal health. He just had his teeth cleaned yesterday and he's acting very weird.

He had his teeth cleaned before, in 2003, so I am thinking that the vaccine they gave him may be causing a reaction.

Skippy is indoors, so we usually only would get him the FIP and Rabies. I told the vet to give him what they usually give him and they gave him the FVRCPP vaccine! I did some reading about this all-in-one shot and it just doesn't sound logical. I didn't think she was going to give him that shot since he's never had it.

Right now Skippy is extremely lethargic, hiding in a closet and doesn't even want to open his eyes. When I did open one of them, the third eyelid was covering half of his eye.

Is this normal?

That seems to be more than the usual reaction to a shot. Why don't you call your vet first thing this morning?

Yes, it sounds like you should get in touch with the vet.
But just fyi: normally indoor cats get the FVRCP and cats that go out get FVRCP, FELV and RABIES. My understanding is that FVRCP is for airborn viruses and distemper which you can bring in on you shoes and such.
I hope your baby's feeling better!

Sometimes they run a temperature after vaccines. He should snap out of it within 48 hours though. If not, bring him to the vet.
