Default Help, is this lice driving ME-the owner Nuts?

Hi, I've been fighting with something that leaves white pieces and cuts the hair of my long haired cat. It makes me itch. All of the websites invalidate my itching over this. I'm treating him with zodiac sponge down stuff, has this worked for anyone? I've given our cats, Revolution, Frontline Plus, and what is the pill for fleas too?

Go out and dip your body in the seawater for a couple of hours. It should keep the lice away for five weeks.

Besides, who wouldn't want a nice excuse to go to the beach?

I don't know what you've got there but I just wanted to caution you about using Zodiac. I would stay away from any of the over the counter meds. like Zodiac or Hartz as they can be dangerous for cats. I also hope you haven't used all those other products at once!!
Tapeworms will leave little white segments lying around. Looks kind of like sesame seeds. That would be from fleas. But that wouldn't make you itch. Flea bites would make you itch (little red bite marks)but the Frontline should take care of that. It may take a day or so though to get rid of the fleas. The flea bites, however, may still itch for several days. But if the cats have tapeworms you'll need to bring them into the vet for a deworming. As far as your cat's fur being 'cut' I don't have a clue what that could be. Of course mites or lice will also cause a lot of iching but the bite site is harder to see. It sounds like you need to take your cats(or one of them) to the vet and figure out what they've got before you can treat it.
