I noticed my 14 year old persian has the runs now for 2 days. Does anyone know what it could be or what I can do to help her??
She eats only wet food because she's 14 and I'm worried about her teeth. I've been feeding her Friskies senior and special diet for the past 5 years without a problem. Is it possible she caught a cold? What can I feed her? Any advise would be greatly appreciated. |

Since it's been a few days, and because your cat is older, I would put in a call to a vet. It might be a minor stomach upset that will pass, but it might be something that requires a special diet. It's always best to be cautious with our older kitties.
Good luck! |

I wanted to take her to the vet but I really can't right now because of finances. The $60 visit will turn to $1,000 by the time they're through. That's what happened the last time.I'd give anything for my cat's health but if i don't have it there's nothing I can do about it
In a few days I think my finances will be better..... I feel terrible It's just that you need at least $300 just in case. $60 for the visit....$75 for geriatric blood work.....maybe a few xrays etc. and by the time they're through $1,000. That's why I waited it out. For the time being I fed her chicken-rice wet food and mixed it with a little pet tinic vitamins and I also gave her a bath. That seemed to fix the runny poop thing BUT now she seems a bit lethargic. Anyway, I'm keeping an eye out on her and I'm continueing the vitamin thing until I can take her to a vet. |
