Default Grass for our Ocicat?

I'm referring to the plastic tubs of grass seeds that you add water to and then they sprout for your indoor cat to eat.

1. Waste of money?

2. What brand and/or type of seed do your cats like?

3. Any negatives?

Any comments aprreciated in advance .

I don't have an answer to your question.....I just wanted to say Hi!

Hope that helps

I am sure someone else will have more to offer than I do.

Depends on the cat...you won't know until you try. Two of my cats love grass, the other two have no interest whatsoever. Wallace absolutley craves it. In the summer I give it to him everyday from outside ( it is totally pesticide free) ...he goes bonkers over it. He so happy when he eats it....he purrs absolutely huge when he's eating his grass.
He likes the kind from the petstore too. You will just have to try. I've never tried sprouting it. Maybe, before you go through all that work, buy a little pot from the petstore and see how your cat likes it.

Holly is an indoor girl but she loves her grass. We tried the stuff that comes in to tub and you throw on some water. Whatever type of grass that was she didn't like it. Now we use Cosmic Kittyherbs and she loves them. It's also much less expensive. A 4oz bag of seed is about $2.50 and she gets aprox. 6-8 good size crops. Plus you're reusing the container and not pitching it into the trash.

Mine love it. If they do, it's a great source of vitamins.
