I know this is a cat forum, but we all have our preferences. So what is a cat breed that you don't think you would want to own? Me personally, I don't think I would want a Savannah, simply because I don't think I could accomodate their needs. They are beautiful though.

Hmmmm, I think feelings could be hurt by this thread. I don't think anybody wants to see their cat listed as a breed somebody wouldn't want. Maybe that's just me.

I love any kind of cat, even disabled cats but I will only say that I would prefer not to have a sphynx only because I keep the house fairly cool in the winter and would not want them to feel uncomfortable. I hate a hot house.

As much as I love all cats I couldn't have any long haired cats because my partners nose is a big wuss! Lenny doesn't seem to malt atall and he hasn't had the sneezes off him but our best friend has a Persian and even with piriteze he is a mess! If it was up to me I'd live on a farm with one of each size and colour and breed!

Obviously, if any cat was in desperate need of a home, regardless of breed, I would take it in if it was up to me and if I could afford to care for it.
But I don't think I'd ever want a Persian. The noises they make freak me out a bit. Plus my aunt's Persian seems to have a lot of issues with sneezing and such. And, as much as I love them, I probably wouldn't have a Sphynx. It can get pretty cold in my house. I probably also wouldn't want a munchkin. They just don't seem right to me.

After being owned by two Persians, I wouldn't want any Persian/Himmalaya in the future. Scottish fold and Munchkin are also big no no for me, because of the inherited health issue.
Other than those, I possible could cross out all shorthair breeds from my wishlist (yeah I'm longhair addicted

Yeah, any high maintenance cat in terms of brushing and stuff is out for me for now, especially persians and such. Maybe someday in the future I'll end up with a long hair moggie, and fall in love, but right now short hairs all the way.
Also sphynx's are a no go for me, and munchkins. |
