What breed is your cat?

If you're asking this question there's typically only one response you'll get. Without any kind of papers the cat is either a Domestic Short Hair (DSH), a Domestic Medium Hair (DMH), or a Domestic Long Hair (DLH). Every cat has something purebred in their heritage somewhere, that's why some have big ears, high cheeks, different color eyes, et cetera.

If you're still in doubt, you can have a look at a wide array of DSH, DMH, and DLH cats around this forum.

Color patterns are a different story and can be interesting to identify in our 'moggie' cats. If you have questions about which color pattern your cat has feel free to ask.

If you're still curious about what breeds your cat may resemble, take a look at CFAs breed site.

The gene pool of the domestics is huge and carry a great genetic diversity so it is possible that a DSH/DLH resembles a purebred without having any purebred heritage. This is one of the fantastic things about the domestics!
