You have a lovely family

Do both dogs do herding, agility, and schutzhund? They're both gorgeous for sure, but that little female is something else! Don't get me wrong, Stark is a handsome fellow, but something about Zefra...

Thanks, I have more photo's of Dexter I would like to post but do not have my cord for my camera. Will try to find it this weekend so I can post updated ones of him. He's really just a big fluff ball.

Stark does herding and PSA/SchH. He lacks the drive to do much serious work, so does sport for fun and the odd trial here and there.

Zefra is my multi-talented one.. LOL. She does herding, schutzhund, agility and obedience. She also has participated in shows and dock diving. She is a trouble maker but super fun.

Dexter really rules over both dogs, as did my Monkey. The dogs know that the cats can do whatever they like (within reason) and they (the dogs) have a lot of rules to follow... LOL

How funny that Dexter (who is beyond cute) rules over the dogs. Zefra and Stark are AMAZING. There is just something about those big ears that get me every time .

I had a german shepherd mix growing up and he was the best dog.

Your GSD's are gorgeous!!! SO is Dexter though I wanna get a GSD so bad. My husband and I want one after I join the Army also and we get stationed somewhere. The intelligence, loyalty, and the way those dogs are willing to lay their lives down for their families is remarkable! No need to have a gun for protection when you have a GSD!

This is something that needs to be trained with a WELL BRED German Shepherd. There are some (blood) lines that are better suited for protection work than others.

They are smart but need to be trained and exercised regularly in order to be balanced in the home.

Definitely not a dog for everyone.

Thanks for your comments, I miss my Monkey more than anything.

Dexter keeps me on my toes and is a great buddy to cuddle with at night.. lol. He keeps my head warm... LOL.

Yes. Them and Rotties are my favorite. I didn't realize how smart they were also until recently. I want a jogging dog since I'll be required to run so much in the army anyways! My husband keeps trying to convince me to get my conceal and carry. Granted I came from the country so my dad and I always hunted and stuff but I just don't like the thought of shooting someone even if they were trying to harm me.... I've always had dogs but never one for protection. This day in age here though you can never be to careful anymore... Unfortunately
