Hello all!
I would like to introduce the beautiful Lucy
She is a 3 year old Maine Coon with a very strong character.
I've had dogs my whole life but now that we live in a flat that's not possible and after a year of being petless I began work on my husband to get a cat. After a few months I managed to get him to grudging agree that ginger cats are pretty and if we ever got a cat one day, it would be ginger.
It was the middle of winter, the long and lonely months stretched ahead, so I did a very naughty thing... I found myself a ginger kitty and figured that once he saw her at home he wouldn't throw her out....would he?
Well, needless to say he was not impressed. After a bit of a scolding he agreed to keep her on a trial basis as long as she did NOT sleep in bed with us. That night I went to sleep early, put a box next to the bed so I could keep a hand in with Lucy so she wouldn't feel lonely and every time she tried to climb in bed with me I put her gently back in her bed. Finally I fell asleep only to be woken at 3am by a tractor, or so I thought.
There was Lucy, sleeping IN my husband arms IN our bed, purring away. So Lucy stayed in our home and er...in our bed
She is a crazy, funny kittenish creature with a very naughty streak. We joke that we do not need a guard dog with her around because she literally fights off intruders - or guests - or anyone she thinks should not be in our house.... A bit problematic but we love her all the same
