Yes, it's Baron being a goof.
It's a sheepskin rug/thing. I really don't know what they are for, and we somehow have two of them. I suppose people lay them over the back of a chair or something? Dunno.. not really our style. Baron and Oscar are crazy about them however. Here are some other pics from the weekend: ![]() I swear, you move something a short 10 or 15 feet away and all of the sudden it's BRAND NEW again! ![]() ![]() ![]()

**REMINDING SELF TO PUT THAT WOOLY RUG OUT IN THE MIDDLE OF FLOOR WHEN I GET HOME**
Might be fun since he gets such a kick out of it! Oscar loves to beat up on it, too. That rug is just sitting on some boxes back in our storage room and not ever going to be used for anything fancy. What the heck. |

I have some kind of animal fur rug that my parents got somewhere in Europe. It was supposed to keep my feet warm (I lived in upstate NY for a long time). I thought my kitties would love curling up on it because it's really fluffy. However, they wouldn't come near it - walked in a large circle around it. It smells like animal hide - maybe they were freaked out thinking it was an actual animal.
That last pic you posted is so great - is that also Baron? I love the expression on his face! |

Yes, that is Baron in the last pic.
I did get that rug out and placed in the middle of the living room floor. Baron jumped in the middle of it and did the same thing again. Truman approached to see what all of the fuss was about and Baron GROWLED at him. Any time Truman made a move Baron started growling. Pretty crazy. |

I was so excited to bring one of those home for my kitties (I even used my birthday money for it I was so excited..lol) and they totally ignored it. Moved it around to different favorite places and it was ignored some more. Eventually it wound up in a corner in the basement and got stuff on it that wouldn't clean off so I threw it away. Not one cat was upset, but I do believe I heard a celebratory cheer ring out as I took it outside.
Cats. You will never, ever out think them.
