Finally a cat owner again!
5-6 month old little girl (a brown torbie,) we have had Sandy since...well... hurricane Sandy
It took a long time to convince my landlord until the hurricane came. My wife and I ended up putting over 40 hours into clean-up efforts for my landlords house. I remember during the entire clean-up process (mostly pumping 4.5 feet of water out from our basement!) I started to feel that I had a great leverage point. At the end of the cleanup, I insisted he recognize the effort we put into the house and our concern for the well-being of my property. Long story- short, it was suddenly not even an issue and my wife and I didn't waste anytime finding our kitty
Picked up locally in CT, Sandy (indeed named after the storm) immediately won our hearts over. We struggled choosing until she chose us. The cage opens and a furry lovey girl could not get enough of us. We had to have her!
Sandy is adorable. She has an abundance of energy and almost never stops purring. She makes the cutest noises that would make even the burliest man say "Awwwww." She does not have a mean bone in her body and is just the right balance between independent and lap-cat. What a catch!
Unfortunately, though, she has some health issues
I won't get into them here- rather just stick to my introduction. A car guy, a PC guy, I am no stranger to forums and the wealth of information and nice pple that come w/ them. I am always willing to help the 'new guy' even when they sign up to forum only to post a problem in the wrong section. I totally get it. So, with all this said, please accept my warm HELLO! I will be sharing the problems alittle later on this evening. But first, some pics!!!
Adorable ain't she?!
