We found a new addition for our home- Duchess(currently jingle) will be coming home maybe tomorrow if she gets her spay early enough in the day to be picked up. I had another cat I liked as well but Hubby could not give him his hug test( just to see how the cat responds to being held- if they are relaxed, stressed, freaked out) Duchess was content and relaxed but Curtis is being treated for ring worm and was a no touch. I think being more petite, the female is a better companion for rocky, our big male orange tabby. Duchess is a sleek, smooth coat DLH with a flowing tail like an evening gown. I have the room ready for her adjustment and getting to know the rest of the fur babies. Toys, scratching post and cat tree, litter pan, bowls and more toys. She will need a few days R&R to recover from surgery and a slow introduction to the family.
A stunning purple collar, and an ID tag with a bit of bling will make look like a queen

Aww! How pretty. I love long fluffy tails like that. And they know they have beautiful tails too. Niska's tail is like that and she acts very proud of it.

The lady Duchess had been here for 36 hours and is now coming to me when i enter the small bedroom she is in during adjustment. She LOVES to be petted- pushing herself into your hand. Rocky, our orange tabby is a perfect gentleman, carefully sniffing her- they did the nose to nose sniffs today. He tried to engage her in some play with a paw touch- she was not interested but no growls just ignored him. I let the little dogs in the room a bit- she hid but they ignored her- just wanted to sniff the room. Tonight, I will start letting her explore parts of the house- she is so darken if she gets in a corner, i'll never see herhttp://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10151194510101638&set=a.45200347163 7.241990.636871637&type=1&relevant_count=1

The lady Duchess has adjusted well and will be allowed free roam of the house as of tonight- I had to make sure she was relaxed enough with us. She is the type that will hide in a dark corner and you would never see her.
