Hi guys! I'm a cat (and dog haha) groomer in NJ, certified with the National Cat Groomers Institute (Certified Feline Master Groomer) and the International Society of Canine Cosmetologists (Dermatech certification and 80% done my Master Pet Stylist exams).
I wanted to share these pictures of my brand new dryer made especially for cats. I know it looks a bit strange, out of a sci-fi movie even, but the company who makes it spent a lot of time making sure it was completely safe for cats (and small dogs too). The left side hose is a vacuum that collects the dead hair flying around, as well as making sure there is plenty of air circulation. I've used one for a few weeks when I was at cat school and even after using it all day, it never got the least bit warm inside. On the right side is the hose/nozzle for the dryer. While inside, cats can walk around freely since they are not restrained in any way. If I need to do some extra combing or dematting, I can put the dryer nozzle in the clamp so I have both hands to handle and comb kitty Mine finally arrived today and I can't wait till Thursday for my cat appointments! The pictures are: #1: my brand spankin' new dryer! #2: me using one at cat school, this kitty was just relaxing while getting her blow dry #3: kitty all finished after groom, so soft and silky! |
