As I was driving home from work today, I wondered if the cars driving by had names... personally, my Grand Prix is named Charles. My husband used to own a Dodge Neon that was Kira. Do you name your car? I didn't sit down and ponder names for my car, it just seemed that he was a Charles

When I sent pics of my new car to friends and family, I referred to it as my little silver bullet, so that's what they call it. Not really a name.....

When I was in high school, my dad had a Ford Pinto that had, at one time, been a metallic silver color, so we called it the Silver Bullet. Over time, the metallic-ness faded and it was more of grayish color, but the Silver Bullet moniker stayed. I miss that goofy looking little car.

All of my vehicles have had names!
1. The brilliant orange Honda we called The Neon Pumpkin. 2. A beat up grey pickup truck known as The Millenium Turkey. 3. My Subaru Brat, with the uninspired name of Th' Brat. 4. Subaru II was an asphalt-colored (metallic onyx) sedan dubbed The Target after being hit repeatedly by other cars. 5. A GMC Cargo van was called Hannibal, or by my friends The Hippie Van. 6. Now it's a mostly gold Dodge Stratus called Starshine TMI, yes I know, but I love giving things names and identities

My previous car, which I absolutely loved (a Saturn 3-door coupe, totaled when a 16 year old who'd had his permit for 2 days ran into me with one of those big trucks with stupidly big wheels), I named Scarlett.
The current car, a silver Saturn Ion, has no name. I've never told her, but she'll never live up to Scarlett. |
