I'd *love* to give you a hug! Should we sing Kumbayah, too?

It's Shark Week on The Discovery Channel. Just so's you know.

Im kind of bored with Shark week after all these years though. If you've seen 1 Great White jump out of the water you've seen them all.

I hope this season is as good as last. I saw season 1 "on Demand".

This guy made the show. I don't know if they have anyone like him this time. He's my new hero.

Now that I know about him he's everywhere

"IBM Fellow and Chief Scientist of Automation John Cohn shares with us what that exactly means. To sum up, he designed the processing chips in the XBOX 360, Playstation 3, AND the Wii!!!

This IS a jolly useful thread,Hugh!

Tonight's Ani-Monday on Sci-fi. There's a series running ,Requiem From The Dead. It sounds REALLY good, the encounter-with-monsters thing-but each one a traditional Japanese monster! But I gotta work tonight-will someone please give me a heads up on this one tomorrow?

Top Gear (BBC "Car entertainment show") has a "star in a reasonably priced car" feature every week, where a "star" drives a 10 grand car round the show's test track. It normally has people from Brit tv, politics or whatever, but the last 5 people were:

Jeff Goldblum (seriously poor at driving, did the whole lap in 3rd gear and didn't come out of it once).
Cameron Diaz (hot hot hotty hot hot hot)
Tom Cruise (either I've been completely wrong about his acting ability, or he actually does have a personality).
and (wait for it...)
The kid who played the ginger kid in the Harry Potter films (worst taste in cars ever, and that includes Diaz who has a Prius)......

I love Top Gears reviews of the Prius. And I owned Clarkson's vote for Car of the Century.

That reminds me, they did a fabulous and very emotional 20 minute section on the late, very great Ayrton Senna, one of the greatest racing drivers who ever lived.
