Default For Moxie fans, we need some prayers

I know Moxie has a following here, so I thought I would share.

Moxie has a sinister lump

I was petting Moxie a few weeks back and noted a small lump just behind her right shoulder. I had it checked out at her annual exam, and was told it was just her microchip. I questioned why I was suddenly able to feel it, and it felt larger than the grain of rice a microchip was supposed to be, and was assured it was nothing to worry about.
Last night I'm petting her and notice said lump has grown from the size of a pea to the size of a Lima bean. Microchip or not, I was going to have that lump aspirated, so I took her with me to work today.

We saw a different vet. First, it is definitely NOT her microchip. Its about 3 inches away from her chip and completely separate. The cells we took out of this lump are not normal. They have several markers for malignancy. I'm really scared, and of course, its Friday, so I won't have any answers until Monday at the latest. I shipped the slides to the pathologist via the fastest shipping available, but I still won't know before Monday.

We took survey films of her chest to check for tumors and drew full labs and urine to prepare for surgery. Her lungs look clear and her heart looks good. So that much is good.

So now we wait for pathology results. This is going to be the longest. weekend. of. my. life.

Please pray for Moxie, who has no idea what all the fuss is about, bless her.

For those that don't know her, here is Moxie

Poor little girl, I hope it's nothing serious.

How scary. My mom went through something like that with her dog last year. Sending good vibes your way.

Oh Rachael - my thoughts are with you while you have to wait. I hope all goes well and it can be successfully removed with a good outcome for Moxie. Please keep us posted.
