My only responsibility for dinner tomorrow....Apple Crisp is in the oven. One pan to take tomorrow and one for me to keep! Spending the day with long time family friends.

Well, my plans have changed drastically. I am in the hospital and have been since early Monday morning. I had an asthma attack couple with severe chest pain since then. To make a very long story short, I'll just cut and paste from my Facebook status from earlier:

************************************************
Hey guys...I need a favor from all of you. I'm going through some serious health issues that have put me in the hospital since 2:00 am Monday morning...Left me up in prayer so that the doctors can figure out what's going on with me and give me some definitive answers. I don't want to spend Thanksgiving in the hospital, especially since I'm supposed to be cooking for my kids and their dad. Thanks.

And an update from later in the day:

As of yesterday, I had three different tests done to my heart yesterday, since one of the things that brought me to the ER were chest pains. I had an EKG done. I guess that one came back okay, but the doctor was still concerned about the pain I was feeling so he ordered a stress test for my heart that had three parts. The first part consisted of some dye being injected into my IV so they could take some pictures of my heart at rest. The second part, the stress test, involved injecting something into my heart to stimulate how my heart would react during simulated exercise. That was NOT fun. My heart rate jumped up to 127 bpm and I had difficulty breathing...which is normal. And the third part consisted of more pictures being taken of my heart. It was during this part that I started getting severe chest pains again. After they brought back to the room they ordered an emergency EKG and an ultrasound of my heart. All three came back with abnormal results. It appears that the right side of my heart isn't dilating as much as it should and is causing the chest pains. So tomorrow, I am scheduled for an angiogram to see what exactly the damage is and how bad. Hopefully, all I'll need is a stent to fix the problem. The worst that I would need would be a bypass. So, as you can imagine, I'm a nervous wreck. Just keep on praying for me.
************************************************** *****

Ugh, I can't believe that I PAID to get up early on a vacation day to walk over 3 miles before I go home to cook a big meal.......

Off to do 1/2 an hour of yoga to loosen up (and wake up) before my 5K. Very excited considering 8 months ago I had to rest between the couch and the bathroom.

*Very* excited. 8 months ago I was paralyzed on one side, 115 lbs heavier, and had to rest between the couch and the bathroom. The results came back from today's 'races' and I did NOT come in last for my age group (or overall). I only had two goals. To finish, and to NOT finish last.

I had enough fun that I signed up for the next one in March and I hope to actually RUN in that one.
