Stupid pet guide app I can't edit my posts.... As far as holding MJ up to a DUI just like alcohol. Yes I totally agree with that.... Everything should be the same across the board with alcohol and MJ.... I also am a firm believer that people on welfare should not be allowed to indulge in alcohol or MJ.... I think a lot of people agree with that statement though.

For me the fact Romneys home state where he was Governor didn't vote for him said something itself. He got shut out really.... But that's just me...

And the other part of it is why would we let someone new in who's not any better and let them screw it up more and worry about their next campaign in two years instead of our economy?? I say let Obama try to fix his mistakes to the end since he can't get another presidency... He's got his feet wet and now he can try to fix it verses letting someone new in to screw the whole thing over more.... That's the way I thought about this election

Look, people say Romney wouldn't be better - but Obama has proven himself to be an incompetent, ineffective and highly partisan.

I firmly believe we have a moral obligation to help our fellow man. And as a free people, we should have the freedom to choose who, and how much, we help. It really isn't charity if .gov has a gun to your head, is it?

And the last time I looked, "solve" and "problem" don't appear anywhere in the Constitution.
Giving people hammocks has destroyed people and families.

My girlfriend taught in the inner city. It didn't matter if they fed the kids, tutored them, threw more money into salaries and programs, they did not have buy in from the parents and the community at large. The parents and community knew they would qualify for government assistance for food, housing, medical care so they did not care if their kids were educated or not. This would just perpetuate the problem because the kids would drop out of school, not get jobs because of it and then go on the government dole. That's one of the reasons she quit.

Exactly what I was going to say! People from the red states are just frustrated. Well, so were we . . . and our guy won the popular vote in 2000, adding to the frustration we had to endure for 8 years.

And that's different from any other president how, exactly?

Getting back to Texas seceding:

Secede! Go! I'll do anything I can to help you! See ya! Good riddance.

Amen to that Spirite.... There hasn't been a president who hasn't been incompetent since Lincoln

Yeehaw! Love the attitude!

Frankly I don't see the red/state differences ever being reconciled, so perhaps secession is the only long term answer.

Thanks for the insight.

Not being an American, I'm not getting involved in the arguments but I am curious. This is definitely not for or against any state seceding but I was under the impression that the constitution gave the right for a state to withdraw as long as it was the democratic decision of that state. From some of the postings, I seem to have got that wrong. Can someone clarify please?
