I live close to Chino Hills, my pets go to Founder's Veterinary in Brea, and I buy my frozen raw from Pet Supply Warehouse in Anaheim. The vet is knowledgeable and caring. They are also well connected with an amazing array of vet specialists (internists, oncologists...) in Irvine - a bit down the freeway. The pet store carries Rad Cat, Primal, Nature's Variety, Halshan's meats, and other dog-oriented raw foods, plus quality canned and dry foods. Since it's a half hour away from me, and a bit longer from Chino Hills, they've encouraged calling ahead and placing an order, to make sure supply is available. I've done this several times with Rad Cat and Halshans. As people have said, the freeways are never fun. I've lived in this area for 25 years, and it's home.

I haven't been to Krisers. It's further away - an extra freeway or two. You'd have to chose your time carefully to avoid work traffic. The vet does sell Stevie's and Stella and Chewys, but I believe they are formulated for dogs. Maybe add taurine for a cat? S & C's true cat formula is freeze dried and I haven't seen it at the vet's, but I've seen a flyer.
My pets are newer to raw and we've only done boneless - one cat's health issues keeps me away from bone - so for the Halshan's I use meat only and add a premix with supplements. The cats like it and it seems like good meat. They also inhale the RadCat. |

If you don't mind me asking what premix do you use?? And what are the less traffic times on the freeways?

I'm using TC Feline and my cats like it. One of my cats seem to be having an allergy issue though so I'm looking into other options in case that's the problem. As to the freeway, midnight is usually good.
