Moving to Maryland

Well, my husband, kitties and I will be moving to Maryland in a couple of weeks. I've lived in the Midwest for the majority of my life, we're both moving for jobs. I'm pretty nervous but I'm ready as I've always wanted to live in the area. Is anyone in the Baltimore area?

I grew up in Harford County and moved to Carroll County before hopping the border into Southern PA. I love Maryland. I still work in MD as well. Where in MD are you moving to?

Right now I'm moving to Fredrick, I love the area. My husband grew up near Fredrick.

I'm in Anne Arundel County, Maryland, about 10 miles from Annapolis. Welcome to Maryland, as another person who moved here from the Midwest (as a kid).

I love, and I mean LOVE, Frederick. Even though it's over an hour drive, my husband and I go up there at least every 6 weeks or so to shop and hit the historic downtown (more specifically, a restaurant called Firestone's). Frederick has so incredibly much to offer -- lots of shopping, restaurants, surrounding mountains, the Appalachian Trail, beautiful countryside, historic inns, a minor league baseball team, you name it. I'd definitely live there if I could, but my commute wouldn't allow it.

P.S. Not only Wegman's, but Boscov's. Check it out.

I live in Carroll County. Maryland is a great state in my opinion! Love all the trees and hills and the variety of weather.
