We have a very eclectic and accomplished group here!

I work for a consulting company on a Federal Government contract that acts as the go-between for the government and all the drug treatment places that get government grants. It's basically high-level administrative work, which I like.

Most of the time it's fun as well as work - it's quite therapeutic being a warlike Silurian Celt!!

I do volunteer for nights sometimes in a homeless night shelter and find that I'm knackered by the morning - I'd hate to do it day after day.

Default Do You Work?

I'm a technical support agent for virgin so I fix phones basically! I don't love it anymore, it's awfully repetitive!

My husband and I own a Harley Davidson shop and we are opening up a pet boarding facility that offers dog training as well. We also have a rescue for dogs, mainly German Shepherds.

Wow, it's really amazing what a diverse group we have here. And kudos to all of you who work with shelters and volunteer your time in other ways.

I'm a French professor. Absolutely love teaching (but hate correcting papers), advising and working with students, interacting with my colleagues (most of them, anyway), doing scholarly research when I have the time (rare), being able to go to France as part of my job... But I could do without everything else about academia.

Do they actually have US techs? Every time I try to get help I get someone with thick accent and we don't understand each other, but I can deal with them as long as my phone bill stays $39/month.

I'm not a professor but I teach French at secondary school. The worst parts of my job are marking books and dealing with bad behaviour
