I have an appointment for March 8th, it was the earliest, I could get a time slot!
Meanwhile, I have Bronchitis, and Acute Sinusitis!:rolleyes:
I'll get the rest of the tests I need, when I see my regular Doc!

An everyday family name; A particular name;
And the name but the Cat Himself Knows, and will never confess." T.S. Eliot

Thumbs down little rant: am I weird for walking my cat?

Hi all.

I usually dont like to rant, but i feel a quite bothered about this minor issue.
I was wondering what you all think.

I have a dear cat named Mocha who just looooves the outdoors because she loves to hunt/stalk lizards, squirrels, etc. As someone who used to own outdoor-indoor cats, Mocha is my first ever indoor cat as I know she isnt the type to survive outdoors. I feel so bad just letting her stay indoors, that I allow her outdoors AND follow wherever she goes. No leash. Just her walking. For the most part, she is so very well-behaved, and doesnt run fast unless she spots a critter few feet away (which she basically stalks so i still keep up with her). I walk her just about few feet away from my home....never even beyond 1 house away from me. She leads (with lots of stops here and there), I follow.

Anyway, to keep the long story short, I heard from a neighbor that i've been talked about in the neighborhood. A new neighbor who just moved in called me the 'girl who walks her cat in her pajamas' and 'weird'. Exact words. Mind you i wear scrubs, not pj's. grrr Also this new neighbor hasnt introduced herself to me since she moved over 2 weeks ago....maybe because I am 'weird'. It was another neighbor who finally introduced me to her today.....

Anyway...I feel quite offended being the introvert I am. Sorry for the long rant. What do you think? Would you think the same, too? Or am I overthinking it?

I think you are worrying way too much about what others think?

When a new neighbor moves in, you're supposed to introduce yourself to THEM.

Lol....I have to laugh. I walk my dogs in my pjs all of the time. Then again, I don't really care what my neighbors have to say about my dog walking attire.

Aren't your pajamas a little big on them?

Go Fund Me wouldn't have had much success when I was growing up. Most of the blame goes to the internet. Easier to ask millions of people for money than go out and earn it.
On a hiking website I frequent, posters have pointed out links to Go Fund Me for people who basically want others to pay for their vacations...

The peepers are out and they're wicked loud. Jake, wuss that he is, is giving me a hard time about going out to pee/poop.
