After experiencing a chronic cough for decades I finally decided to see an allergist. They did a whole battery of tests on me - almost 3 hours of testing and turns out I'm allergic to animals. Specifically cats and dogs. Oh well. Won't change a darn thing in my life except I'm now taking an OTC allergy med, Allegra. Sheesh.

Going through withdrawal!

Ok, well, my prayers are all answered, I have found wonderful families for the last of my fosters - so this could actually be in the Happy Thread but I am so sad because I'm now going through withdrawal! This is the first time in perhaps a year that I have not had foster babies to sit with in the morning. My routine for so long has been to sit with a cup of coffee and enjoy my morning snuggles with babies! I miss it today but I realize it's a good time to take a break, do some deep cleaning and relax - for a change.

That's great you found someone to take the fosters. I can imagine how weird that would feel not having them around every morning. Allergies suck. I remember when I was tested for allergies I reacted to almost everything. Strangely enough not cats though. Fairly strong to dogs though. The doctor said since I grew up with cats in the house it probably desensitized me to it.

More apartment problems now they seem to be claiming I owe them a "late fee" for rent what a load. I gave them the rent check on December 15th for January!

So tired of seeing Go Fund Me requests for money. What a happened to working for money? What happened to pride? What a happened to taking responsibility for your (bad) choices? Or not making them to begin with?

Tell me about it! Sometimes they are legit, but I know someone on Facebook who did one for her cat's vet bills (which were only about $2,000) and she really hounded people to donate. My dog needed $10,000 of leg surgery. I had to get care credit and I'm still paying it off years later but I wouldn't hound others to help me with my own bills.

Doctors who don't 'listen'...:banghead:
My body, very well acquainted with it thank you, I've lived in it for almost 60 years now!
Grrrrr....
I'm not a hypochondriac!
I usually have to be taken, kicking and screaming, to the Doc's! (A lot like a cat!).
Can't wait to see my regular doc, she's good...

An everyday family name; A particular name;
And the name but the Cat Himself Knows, and will never confess." T.S. Eliot
