The Weather Thread - 2016

In the past week, we've had a couple earthquakes, flooding, snow, sleet and hail. And a tornado began forming, but didn't quite turn into the real thing.

What's next? Locusts?

WELL...it IS California!
Was wondering how you and the girlz were doing!:p
Hoping you're all safe and sound, and out of reach, of the aforementioned CATastrophes!!:p

I've been staying late at work until all the traffic clears up. Thankfully, the universities are still on holiday break and that helps with the traffic right now.

Are you in any danger of mudslides, or flooding, where you're at?

Not at all. But the almost-tornado was a little too close for comfort! People at work were freaking out a bit, getting calls from family members at home.

I can't even begin to imagine, how people live in tornado, and hurricane country, I'd be scared witless (Sp?)

Youre so lucky! Last year we had 1 day with snow, which lasted until lunchtime.

Right now, it is 9C (49F) and raining gently.

I love cold weather, and we never get it here! I complain during our English summers about it being too hot.

Lol, I'm the opposite Adelea, I complain about the cold all winter and love the heat of the summer. My part of the U.S. seems to get extremes of both.

Our family rented a beach house for Christmas vacation on the gulf coast of Florida. It was 80 degrees on Christmas day, I was lying on the beach and not missing snow or cold at all. I think I need to seriously consider moving to a warmer climate.
