Default Added chicken?

I've been feeding all the kitties canned Nutro and then a couple days ago got the idea to add boiled chicken. As much as I'd love to be able to dedicate time to putting them on a 100% homemade diet, I can't.

Now in my mind, I'm thinking they will still get the added nutrients they need with the can food.. so would adding a little bit of boiled chicken be ok? Or would I have to add other things to balance it out? I leave out dry food for them to have throughout the day and feed them wet food twice a day.

Edited to add: I use chicken tenders with those white stringy things, but by the time they are boiled and cut up into a million pieces they can't be seen, is that ok?

I think the problem with adding cooked food to your cats diet is that the cooked chicken lacks many nutrients that cats need (either something that would otherwise be found in organ meat and bone or nutrients that were destroyed by the cooking process). If your cats eat a lot of the chicken and less of their regular food as a result, they will be getting less of the nutrients they need. I think it would be fine to give some cooked chicken, but it shouldn't make up a large part of their diet.

I really don't believe it takes up too much of their diet. I mix about 2 tenders in with a 3 ounce can of wet cat food. I bet each of them only gets the size of *1 McDonald's Chicken Nugget* worth of chicken each day. Then the rest of the day they munch on dry cat food
