Daughter is bored, out of school for the summer. She wants to feel motherly by making cookies and treats for her kittens.
Everything I find needs lots of help from mom or too many grains for the kits. She of course wants to make them herself. She uses the oven and can make cookies and cupcakes from a box. That is about the extent of her cooking as she is only 10. Oh wait..she says she can make a mean ramen noodle dish lol Anyone know of a recipe that would be as grain free as possible but still baked like cute little cookies? This is as much as to keep my daughter busy as it is for the kits |

I don't have a baked recipe but try knox plain gelatin mixed with a chicken or turkey (don';t get the kind with added veg) baby food. 1 envelope + 1 jar. chill til set then cut out "cookies", nuggets or little shapes. Granddaughters used to have tea party picnics with Cat Break out the teacups and kids get tea - kitties get broth kids get cookies & kitties get the turkey snacks. of course Cat would tolerate ribbons and baby bonnets from the kids too.

how about growing and drying catnip? its easy and useful since she makes her own cat toys..
Just remember to grow the catnip in containers if you don't want it growing everywhere. my yard is full of it, but then nothing much else will grow there so it doesn't bother me much .. |

Catnip soup
1 C. warm chicken broth 3 Tbs. dried catnip or fresh catnip Place the warm broth in a container with a tight-fitting lid. Add the catnip. Shake vigorously for a couple minutes or until the the catnip has given the tea a greenish tinge. Serve 1/4 C. of the tea to your cat in a shallow bowl. Store the remainder in the refrigerator. Warm before serving. hee read the tea party thing and decided to post this for you. can't remember who gave it to me though. |
